Chinese Noodle Restaurant, Haymarket

After a long day I need to refuel of course! So time to go to Chinatown for some cheap dindins. Chinese Noodle Restaurant is located sort of behind Market City but there are two restaurants with identical signs, this one is right next to Menya Noodle Bar. The restaurant itself is tiny so we're led to another restaurant space which is a little emptier.

I feel like such a hipster (ironically) sitting in this tiny hole in the wall restaurant with no name on the window or any decorations. Sah hipster.

Arisun, Haymarket

First of all, I'd love to thank grabyourfork & chocolatesuze for recommending Arisun towards the end of Dixon St in Chinatown.

The HSC was over so obviously I thought of a small celebratory meal: fried chicken. Yeah, clearly I love fried things (I'm trying to figure out how to deep-dry mayonnaise without Richard Blais-ing it). So without further ado...

Umi Kaiten-Zushi & Meet Fresh!

The worst thing about being sick is that you can't taste anything; it's all a jumble of textures and temperatures. So I sit there at Umi Kaiten-Zushi snapping away with my iPhone at these un-named dishes that  float past on the sushi train.

Chat Thai, Haymarket

I really like Chat Thai; so much so that it's my failsafe Thai dinner place.

Chat Thai, Haymarket

It's totally understood that I'm probably behind every single food blogger in writing something about Chat Thai. Hahah. Chat Thai has a buzzing sort of atmosphere, bordering on a lively drone. It’s not squished or overly noisy with staff who sound and look like they couldn’t care less… Like Mamak… The 2nd level is built quiet loft-like but is a bit dark though...
