Nakashima, The Rocks

Nakashima is a small little restaurant tucked into a "street" off Argyle St in The Rocks. Beware; it is hard to find unless you've got epic map-reading skills and a sense of direction. Neither of which I have, which led to a more longer walk around. It isn't helped by the fact that there's no large sign out the front, just a humble little thing that says Nakashima Japanese Restaurant.

Oolong Tea $3.50
Tonkatsu Bento $16
Tonkatsu: breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet. Also in the bento: rice, miso soup, salmon sashimi, cucumber sushi, salad, spring roll, money bag.
Pork Maki Bento $17
Pork Maki: really tender pieces of pork that's wrapped around crunchy spring onions and pan-fried.
Seasonal Fruit Sorbet with Plum Wine Jelly $6
Nakashima is one of those rare Japanese restaurants in the city where the food is worth its price and is great at the same time! It's also one of those whose menu doesn't solely rely on sushi... It was a great precurser to this:
