Ladurée, Sydney

One of the higher end HSC study snacks: macarons. I've heard many amazing stories about the original Ladurée store in Paris so cue me jumping around like a squirrel on crack for these.

Ladurée is one of the most famous macaron makers in the world and rightly so. The bakery was founded in 1862 and has been open since then, so its been open for 150 years! Now that's old. If you love macarons as much as the people around me do, you'll recognize that these macarons have game. We eat with our all our senses (except maybe hearing...) and these macarons tick the box for taste, smell and sight.
Cream: vanilla macarons.
Green: pistachio macarons.
Yellow: lemon macarons.
Lemon is my favorite BY FAR. These macarons knock "zumborons" out of the game; I can smell them from far away. The flavor is intense and it lets you know what flavor it is; if it could talk in your mouth it could say "GURRRL. I. AM. LEMON-NAY-NAY." with attitude.

  2. You do realize these are defrosted macarons right? Locally produced fresh macaroons kick the hell out of these.

Yes, I'm fully aware that these aren't "locally produced", but I'm a believer in "don't knock it till you try it". I know there are some locally produced macarons that kick butt, but that doesn't mean that these ones horrifying.
